Recently, the winners of the Dutch Toy of the Year 2022 awards have been announced. Icecat created Enhanced Product Stories for the winning products for free. The expert jury has chosen three products in each of the 12 categories: Kids’ Games, Outdoor Toys, Building and Construction, Crafty and Creative, Plush, Vehicles, Dolls, Toddler, Sustainable, Science & Education STEAM, Action Figures, Kidult, Family Games, Family Games 10+ and Expert Games. Icecat has a strong presence in the toys category; over 100 toy brands listed their product content in the Icecat catalog. Accurate and timely product content is critical In the toy industry. Rich content and Enhanced Product Stories help further improve the online shopping experience and conversion. Icecat Product Stories give shoppers the feeling of holding the actual product in their hands. Product Stories contain a selection of digital multimedia assets, for example, video, feature logos and explanations, 3D objects, and image galleries. See the video below as an example. Brands like Disney, Hasbro, Nintendo, and LEGO already use Enhanced Product Stories and provide product content to their channel partners.
With Dutch toy retailer Intertoys, Icecat did two A/B tests on Disney products enriched with all product content assets and one A/B test only with enhanced Product Stories. The results of enriching the products at Intertoys are outstanding:
