The UK Toys & Games market is one of the largest in Europe, and dropping 6% to £3.2 billion ending 2019 compared to 2018. Whilst sales dipped in this category, online activity increased by 2% to a 37% share with board games, gaming software, arts and crafts having greatest share.
Q1 reports revealed a spike in the sale of board and computer games when the UK went into lockdown and now we see that the Toys & Games market is clearly capable of achieving and sustaining a 50% online trading share.
Big players like Amazon and Argos have continued to disrupt with a broad range of choice, and speedy delivery options.
