The Red Balloon Toy Store Uses Icecat Toys Data Model

ASTRA member The Red Balloon Toy Store with six physical stores in the United States adopts the Icecat Toys Data Model. The Red Balloon Toy Store uses Icecat product content for its e-commerce activities. It is the second US toy retail chain that adopts this toy data standard.

The Toy Data Model has developed in the past four years into a global market standard. The use is growing every day. New retailers connect, and more toy brands conform to it to make their product content available in the Icecat Toys Catalog.

The Red Balloon Toy Store, as a Full Icecat subscriber, has access to the Free Vendor Central Program and asks all its vendors to register. To start entering and enrich their product information immediately. Or also to join the premium services of (Open) Icecat with unlimited syndication to all their channel partners. We help brands to be more effective, promote, and position their products in The Red Balloon Toy Store Webshop and elsewhere. Furthermore, we help to improve coverage and completeness of product content and reduce the time-to-market for new products.

Benefits of Free Vendor Central

After sign up, brand editors can immediately start improving their product information as is made available to The Red Balloon and other toy stores. For example product titles, descriptions, specs, images, and product videos.  Furthermore, the entered product information goes straight into the Icecat catalog and is ready to go live in minutes. Additionally, brand editors get real-time notifications and Icecat can push content to the live site directly. Finally, Vendor Central is free to use. In case that support is needed, there are some service levels available that utilize the editorial team.

For more information, contact Icecat online or register for Free Vendor Central. See also the tutorial How to Register Online for Free Vendor Central.
