The Polish B2B e-commerce market reached 130 billion euros in 2021. Compared to the total market value of 555 billion euros in 2016, this represents an average rise of 8.4% yearly. Market growth from 2016 to 2021 was 41%, according to Marketplanet Discover, the largest B2B e-commerce market in CEE
Purchases made by big companies grew by 48%, while those made by medium-sized businesses increased by 41%. Small businesses report an increase in spending of 18%, which is less growth than the average. Additionally, businesses in Poland with more than 250 employees made roughly two-thirds of the total volume of B2B purchases. Most large and medium-sized enterprises control the market.
The study also examined how the market functions. Industrial engineering and wholesale trade purchases make up more than half of the B2B market. Nearly half of B2B merchants (46%) can sell their goods through their own online sales channels. 31% of people utilize websites for the sector as a whole. Additionally, sellers that use offline channels typically use retail chains and attend trade shows
Companies that look for new supplies mainly use Google Search (78%) or catalog-based online shops (6%). Most companies also use price comparison tools when looking for supplies (5%). A slightly smaller group uses Allegro (45%).
