The French and Belgian toy retailer Maxi Toys, with 117 physical stores and an e-commerce presence, joins the Icecat network. Online presence and quality product content are critical for Maxi Toys after a complicated year of restructuring. The decision to optimize the online visitor experience through product syndication came naturally to Maxi Toys. This also stems from a trusted partnership with Maxi Toys’ new owner King Jouet, who has been working with the Monaco-branch of the Icecat group for many years.
One year ago, Icecat took over Cedemo, a leading product-content specialist for the toy and entertainment sectors. In short, Cedemo manages mission-critical marketing, video, image, purchasing, and pricing information for over 200 toys and gaming manufacturers. Maxi Toys will be among the many retailers who benefit from Icecat’s and Cedemo’s merged global manufacturer network. To ensure access to a wider range of product content information.
We are happy that Maxi Toys joins Icecat and uses our toy platform. We are looking forward to onboard more retailers and brands to create a win-win for all.

Icecat supports multiple data output formats to ensure all content assets are fully integrated and our users completely automate the syndication process. Besides, Akeneo has developed an Icecat connector to integrate standardized product content easily. As a result, this extension allows Maxi Toys, as an Akeneo PIM user, to benefit from Icecat’s extensive catalog of product data. The connector enriches its Akeneo PIM instance with standardized content, including specifications, marketing text, images, multimedia assets, PDFs. But also rich content like video, 3D tours, and enhanced Product Stories.
