Maxicom, an expert in the field of new and refurbished hardware and network equipment, implements ecommerce automation. The aim of Maxicom was to automate its e-commerce business by integrating a centralized assortment and content management system. In short, a complete Magento store is implemented. All that happened with connecting suppliers, content delivery, managing assortment and pricing, and data delivery to their back office. Maxicom was able to reach its goals by utilizing the PIM software from Iceshop and receiving digital content from Icecat.
Maxicom has two different shops, – Mr@ and Maxicom, where one store is designed for B2B transactions, and the other is for B2C transactions. Thus, it was a challenge to separate product assortment pricing and provide both shops with content. The process of setting up a single content management system for two different types of stores was crucial. Consequently, it made Maxicom’s case a success.
It decided to partner with Iceshop and Icecat to have one single place for all of its ecommerce automation needs: stock and pricing, PIM, product content, and a connector.
Finally, a large automated Magento webshop was installed. Their wish of having one central source for Maxicom was installed. This is to manage their assortment, pricing, content, and orders to streamline their operations for the B2C and B2B webshops.
