Icecat Brand Rank Monitor H1-21 Top 10: Bosch, Weidmuller, and Gewiss lead in Building and Construction

In the second episode of the H1-21 Icecat Brand Rank Monitor performance, we highlight the category: Building and Construction. The Icecat Brand Rank Monitor tracks the performance of all 28 thousand brands in the database. Each brand’s ranking is based on the number of annual PDS downloads by channel partners and direct views by consumers.

In the category buildings, there are more than 125 million data-sheets requests in the first six months of this year. This is a rise in requests of 104% compared to the same period last year. If we take a closer look at the top 10 we see that Bosch is the brand that received the most requests within a total of 4,9+ million. The complete top 10 brands in the category buildings have a raise in download requests compared to the same period last year. Gewiss (186%), Panduit (163%), and Schneider Electric (160%) mark the highest rise in product datasheet requests.

In short, below is a graphic that shows the number of requests for each of these brands in millions. Dark blue representing the first half-year of 2021 and light blue representing the same period last year.

Other KPIs on Brand Rank Page

While statistics per vertical is something that we keep only for overviews like this one, overall brand analytics per country are visible in the front end. A brand rank per country is especially interesting for a brand’s local business representatives. Besides, as the internet implies globalization, Icecat can not resolve all views or downloads to an individual country. Some e-commerce users are international. And some individual data consumers browse anonymously.

Furthermore, Icecat also publishes a Brand Average Review Score. This includes the total number of reviews that contribute to the score calculation. Again, this is done for transparency. This daily updated statistic is also available for Testseek XML API users by default.

Finally, the data health score is visible. The brand data health completeness score is the average of the completeness scores of all product data sheets of a brand’s products, ranging from main products to supplies and spare parts. Again, brand editors can see the color changing of completeness.
