During Q2 2022, Icecat continued its growth and closed H1-22 with positive stats. Although we notice a slight decrease in new registrations compared to the previous quarter. However, the Icecat catalog, blog, website, and LinkedIn network kept growing. Please, find below an overview of of the statistics and continuous growth of Icecat.
The page views for the Icecat catalog website have seen a Y-o-Y rise by 37%. The growth in unique page views of icecat.biz compared to H1-21 last year was 15%. Further, the bounce rate is 62% lower, which indicates that more visitors found what they want. Additionally, the growth of unique visitors grew by 17% during the first six months of 2022 compared to the same period last year.
The exponential usage growth in 2021 continued in H1 2022 with 67% growth in visitors. The number of unique visitors increased by 63% Y-o-Y, meaning we attract new unique visitors, proportionally with the overall traffic growth. The most popular content among visitors consists of Icecat manuals. Thanks to our daily content, we expect the traffic on our blog to continue to grow during the second half of 2022.
We noticed a Y-o-Y decrease by 10% in Open Icecat registrations. However, compared to the previous quarter there was only a very slight decrease. It means that the COVID-19 bump is over. On the other hand, many new retailers took the opportunity to improve their product pages with structured and rich product content.
After launching a new logo and refreshed website in November 2021, we reached a growth by 18% in page views, visitors, and unique visitors. We will continue building more pages, adding content, and optimizing SEO to continue the steady growth.
