During Q1 2022, Icecat continues its steady growth and closes the year with positive stats. We notice a slight decrease in new registrations compared to the previous quarter. However, the Icecat catalog, Icecat’s blog, Icecat website, and social media network show positive numbers. Let’s continue the growth in Q2.
The page views for the Icecat catalog website have seen a Y-o-Y rise of 39%. The growth in unique page views of icecat.biz compared to last year was 4%. More importantly, the bounce rate is 15% lower, which indicates that people found what they are looking for
The exponential usage growth in 2021 grew further during Q1 2022 with 63% visitors. The unique visitors increased by 13% Y-o-Y, meaning we attract a significant portion of unique visitors of the overall traffic to our blog. The most popular content among visitors is the manual category. With the aim of daily content, we expect the traffic on our blog to continue growing in 2022.
We noticed a Y-o-Y decrease in Open Icecat registrations. However, compared to the previous quarter, registrations went up y 6%. Also, after corona and lockdowns, many retailers took the opportunity to improve their product pages with structured and rich product content.
After launching a new logo and refreshed website, we reached 6,000 visitors after four months. We will continue to build more pages, add content and optimize SEO for a steady growth.
