As we stated in our previous post, Amazon launched the Belgium version of its marketplace last Tuesday. As a result, online shoppers in Belgium can now choose from more than 180 million products. For some of these products, same-day delivery is possible, as some come from the new distribution center in Antwerp. France and Germany are mainly delivering the other products.
Belgium online shoppers had to order in foreign countries for a long time, but then from Amazon’s foreign webshops, like Amazon.fr, Amazon.nl, and Amazon.de. Now Amazon is live in Belgium with Amazon.com.be, with a Belgium theme.
Icecat has a connection to the Amazon Listings API to automate product content publishing directly from the Icecat database into Amazon Vendor and Seller Central. For example, HP, Lenovo, Acer, and Asus are talking with Icecat to exchange their content with Amazon. The new API connection supports real-time content publishing, ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) creation, taxonomy optimization, a publishing dashboard, and extensive reporting.

Recently Icecat converted Amazon A+ content “from the manufacturer” into Icecat Enhanced Product Stories. This is implemented successfully for Hasbro at Benelux toy retailers. For example, at Intertoys, ToyChamp, and Top1Toys. Icecat allows all brands to convert their Amazon A+ content into Icecat Enhanced Product Stories to create a better online shopping experience at any retailer.
