New Icecat Amazon Listings API is Live for Brands and Sellers

Icecat finalizes its new connection to the Amazon Listings API to further automate content publishing directly from the Icecat database into Amazon Vendor and Seller Central. The new API connection supports real-time content publishing, ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) creation, taxonomy optimization, a publishing dashboard, and extensive reporting. In addition, the new Listings API connector allows faster vendor onboarding and enables Icecat to publish a high volume of products in single batches.

The legacy AFS connectivity is no longer available, and the new Listings API connection replaces it entirely.

Key Features of the Listings API

What are the key features of the Amazon Listings API? In summary:

  • Fully synced with Icecat’s vendor database
  • Near real-time publishing
  • End-to-end transformation
  • Create, update and delete listings
  • Localized issue messaging
  • Submission validation
  • Manual submission via a web interface
  • Submission dashboard

Marketplaces and most Hardline and Softline Categories Supported

The new Icecat connector supports, in principle, all of Amazon’s marketplaces. However, the Amazon Listing API does not yet fully support all Amazon product types because supported Amazon product types still differ by selling partner type (merchant or vendor) and by Amazon marketplace.

How can Vendors and Sellers start publishing their content directly on Amazon?

Multiple vendors have already been publishing their content successfully to Amazon via Icecat. So who can participate in the new program? In principle, all vendors holding an Amazon Vendor Central account and sellers holding an Amazon Seller Central account can participate.

Despite the automation of interfaces, the minimum Amazon requirements for data completeness should be met. For this reason, Icecat supports gathering missing information via its own PIM platform.

Get in touch with Icecat to determine if your product content can also be published automatically on Amazon.
