Linksys partners with Icecat to offer free product information to its channel partners

Linksys, a leader in networking solutions for the home and business, partners with e-commerce syndicator Icecat, to provide its channel partners with free and standardized product information. “As Linksys, we feel it is important to provide our channel partners with up-to-date product information”, says Tonko de Wit, channel marketing manager Linksys Europe. “Whether our partner uses the information to design a customer’s network or to present products online, the right information increases the success rate of the business significantly. Icecat provides us the tool to deliver that important correct information to our channel partners.”

The Linksys datasheets are completely standardized, which makes filtering and comparing products much easier. The product datasheets are offered in multiple languages. Including Dutch, French, German and Spanish, which allows users to get the information in their native language.

Floris Bartels, global sales manager at Icecat states – “E-tailers preferably like to receive their product content from one source. Linksys decision to expand its participation in Open Icecat, allows all their channel partners to access high-level, up-to-date product content. Available via the global Icecat portal. The portal is already serving 16 billion data-sheets downloads annually and is thus the global leader in product content syndication.”

To get the Linksys data sheets, a channel partner simply has to register on icecat.com. After that, follow the technical steps to download and implement the information in its own platforms. Many standard add-ons to popular e-commerce systems are present.
