2025 has been a busy year at Icecat: new product content capabilities, platform improvements, and important steps forward in how we support compliance and sustainability-related data. We’re also proud that Icecat was named one of the Top 250 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands, a recognition of our growth, innovation, and expanding global impact in ecommerce.
In this “looking back” post, we’re gathering the highlights in one place, a quick, easy recap of what happened across Icecat in 2025.
In 2025, Icecat strengthened its thought leadership by hosting a series of webinars designed to help brands and retailers master content automation and understand the role of AI in their markets. One highlight was the “How Brands Automate Content on Amazon & Other Key Retailers” webinar, where Icecat experts, alongside guest speaker Salah Maréchal from Versuni, shared real-world insights and a live demo showing how AI-powered automation accelerates product launches, improves listing quality, and makes syndication across major marketplaces more efficient than ever.
Earlier in November, Icecat also ran a session focused on “How AI Is Transforming the Toy Industry”, exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping product design, marketing, and retailing in one of the most dynamic verticals in e-commerce. The webinar offered practical perspectives for toy brands and retailers on preparing their content infrastructures to support emerging AI-driven workflows, from automated translation and tagging to enriched product experiences that resonate with modern shoppers.
Together, these sessions underscored Icecat’s commitment in 2025 to educate and empower its community with actionable strategies around automation and AI, not just as trends, but as tools that make product content smarter and more scalable.
One of Icecat’s major themes in 2025 was strengthening integrations that help brands and retailers automate product content workflows and keep their catalogs accurate across platforms. A standout launch this year was the Akeneo Connector, a fully automated solution that enriches Akeneo-based PIM catalogs with Icecat’s trusted product data for more than 24 million products across over 60 languages, eliminating manual imports and keeping product information continuously up to date.
In December, we also rolled out deeper support for marketplace syndication with the Mirakl Connector, enabling automatic delivery of rich product content to Mirakl-powered marketplaces through real-time API integrations and flexible controls for which products are synchronized. Shortly after, Icecat introduced the ChannelEngine Connector, which automates nightly synchronization of Icecat data directly into ChannelEngine’s marketplace workflows, again eliminating manual steps and ensuring accurate, structured content flows to sellers.
Together, these connectors reflect Icecat’s 2025 commitment to simplify omnichannel product content management and drive ecommerce growth across PIMs and marketplaces.
In 2025, Icecat continued to bring its product content expertise to the global stage by participating in a wide range of industry events, exhibitions, and conferences, from retail and ecommerce gatherings to tech and gaming shows. Whether engaging with brands, retailers, or technology partners, these in-person moments helped us share insights, learn from peers, and deepen our community connections.
This year, our team was present at well-attended highlights such as ShopTalk Europe in Barcelona, where leaders across the ecommerce ecosystem gathered to explore trends and innovation; IFA Berlin, one of the world’s largest tech trade shows; and Gamescom, a key destination for gaming and digital entertainment communities. We also connected with professionals at Kaufland E-commerce Day, E-SHOW Madrid, VTEX Connect Latam, Tech for Retail (TFR), Webwinkel Vakdagen, ISE 2025, and more, bringing Icecat’s vision for structured product content, automation, and commerce integration right into the heart of the action.
Each of these events helped close out 2025 with meaningful conversations, new partnerships, and fresh inspiration for what’s ahead.
