Legamaster Products Available in Open Icecat for Syndication to the Channel

Legamaster International joins Open Icecat to syndicate its product content to retail partners. These retail partners are based in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Denmark, Norway, and Latvia. The Netherlands-based company is the visual communication division of edding AG. It offers a wide range of collaboration solutions ranging from e-screens, whiteboards, and flipcharts to accessories like magnets and markers. As a result of the move, Legamaster’s e-commerce partners can collect the Legamaster product content from Icecat free of charge. Retailers can download the specifications, marketing texts, and digital assets like product images, brochures, sustainability logos, manuals, or videos.

We see the direct connection of our PIM system to Open Icecat for the first eight countries as an important milestone. Icecat Push API for workflow automation

Legamaster uses the Push-API. In order to easily push product content to Icecat’s PIM system. But also to integrate the content within its own workflow and master data management processes. What is the Icecat Push-API? In essence it is a server interface for the automated content ingestion of a brand’s product content into Icecat. The ingested data conforms to a standardized taxonomy. Icecat subsequently syndicates the respective content to a brand owner’s channel partners.

How to Benefit from Legamasters content?

As the Legamaster data is now part of the sponsored Open Icecat platform, its product content is immediately available upon registration. As a result, resellers have free access to the Legamaster product content in XML, JSON, and other standard exchange formats.

Existing Legamaster resellers with an Icecat account can immediately access its free product content. Other resellers can register online, contact their local Account Manager, or contact Icecat directly. After login, a reseller can also request explicit authorization by Legamaster via the portal, to add an extra layer of legal protection.
