In these Icecat Release Notes 148, we will explain the development of a new service that will generate temporary TTL links for Media API. Further, we will discuss the development of two additional endpoints for the Media API. And finally, we will highlight some improvements and fixes. Please, find here the previous Icecat Release Notes.
In this release, a new service that generates temporary links is live. These temporary links are necessary to finalize the integration of Media API with Icecat Live. The new service will generate temporary links with an expiration called a time-to-live limit. Icecat Live service users will receive the product content alongside the links of the videos while calling. The videos were previously uploaded to our storage by simply adding video credentials to the script. To prevent the misusage of those links by the third parties, we will generate links with a time-to-live limit. Every time the page updates on the user’s browser, the service will generate a new temporary live link.
Furthermore, we developed two more endpoints. The first endpoint will allow adding and deleting Languages to previously uploaded videos via Media API. The second will allow adding and deleting Authorized users for previously uploaded videos via Media API.
