Home Brands Thrive: Icecat’s Brand Rank Monitor H1-2023 Reveals Growth Trends in the Vertical

The first half of 2023 has brought significant shifts in the landscape of Home brands, as revealed by data-sheet downloads from our database. This year alone, this category recorded a staggering 315 million data-sheet downloads. This resulted in a remarkable 120% increase from the previous year. This surge indicates a growing interest in home-related products. Such statistics offer valuable insights into which brands have gained popularity and how much they’ve grown compared to last year.

At the forefront of this movement is Philips, a brand that has taken a commanding lead with almost 16 million data-sheet downloads in the first half of 2023. This showcases their popularity and highlights an impressive 145% growth compared to the same period in 2022. Philips’ success numbers showcase how it has resonated with consumers and met their evolving needs.

Samsung follows suit, demonstrating its strong presence in the home market too. With around 11 million downloads, Samsung has also seen a substantial jump compared to last year’s 4 million downloads. This surge translates to a noteworthy 169% increase, indicating the brand’s ability to stay relevant and capture consumer interest.

Bosch, too, has emerged as a strong contender in the home category, securing its place among the top three brands. With over 9.6 million downloads in the first half of 2023, Bosch’s growth has been particularly impressive, showcasing a remarkable 333% increase from the previous year.

Furthermore, the list of top 10 brands includes other notable names such as Hikvision, Tefal, Bestway, Art-Pol, WMF, Hama, and Rowenta, all demonstrating substantial individual expansion.

Other KPIs on Brand Rank Page

The Brand Rank page offers additional insightful key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide a comprehensive overview of brand performance. One of these valuable metrics is brand analytics per country, allowing brand representatives to gain insights into their brand’s performance at a local level. As the internet implies globalization, Icecat acknowledges that not all views or downloads can be attributed to a specific country. Due to the international nature of e-commerce users and anonymous browsing by individual data consumers, complete localization of data is not always possible.

In addition, Icecat publishes the Brand Average Score, which considers the total number of reviews contributing to the score calculation. This transparent approach ensures that users have access to up-to-date statistics. Furthermore, this valuable statistic is also available for Testseek XML API users by default.

Finally, the data health score is prominently displayed, offering a comprehensive assessment of a brand’s data completeness. The brand data health completeness score represents the average completeness scores of all product data sheets within the brand’s portfolio, encompassing main products, suppliers, and spare parts. Brand editors can easily monitor and track the changing color indicators of completeness to ensure data quality.

These additional KPIs on the Brand Rank page enable brand representatives to understand their brand’s performance better, enhance transparency, and ensure data integrity.
