Icecat Index Files are the most comprehensive catalogs or products and serve as a primary source for users that import all the products in Icecat. Its main advantage is listing all available products in one place, which makes it perfect solution for online supermarkets.
However, there are many clients that provides specialized products for limited audiences. For example, for a shop that sells perfumes it makes no sense to download Index file since they only need a fraction of it.
⚠️ Vertical Indexes are provided only in XML format.
At the same time, the structure of the vertical index is the same as of complete index.
💡 A Vertical is a root category, for example, Computers & Peripherals, Lighting, or Fashion.
