E-commerce Must Go On: French Retailer BUT Joins Icecat Free Vendor Central

BUT, a French retailer specializing in in-home goods, including furniture, large and small appliances, and consumer electronics, known for its ad slogan “BUT, c’est Nous!’’ (BUT is us!) joins the Icecat Free Vendor Central program. The French retailer is part of the Austrian group XXXLutz and the number two in furniture in France behind Ikea, and had more than 120 million visits in 2019.

At the Paris Retail Week 2019 trade fair, BUT presented its marketplace created together with Mirakl, an international marketplace solution provider. Full Icecat product information like images, technical specifications, and descriptions, are offered to resellers of BUT marketplace to enrich and expand their online offers. Resellers are able to select Icecat content when creating products in their webshops.

The quality and enrichment of product content are essential to stimulate online sales that is why Icecat will also provide to BUT partner brands a list of essential product information for high-quality content along with free Vendor Central Icecat access.

Avec plus de 120 millions de visites en 2019 et numéro deux de l’ameublement derrière Ikea, But est une enseigne française de magasins spécialisés dans l’équipement de la maison (ameublement, électroménager, image, son), filiale du groupe autrichien XXXLutz.

A l’occasion du salon Paris Retail Week 2019, l’enseigne d’équipement de la maison présente en avant-première sa marketplace basée sur la technologie de Mirakl, l’éditeur international de solutions de marketplace. Les informations produits Full Icecat – images, caractéristiques techniques, descriptions, etc. – seront offertes aux revendeurs de la marketplace BUT afin de compléter et agrandir leurs offres. Ils pourront sélectionner le contenu Icecat à la création de leurs produits dans leurs boutiques.

La qualité et l’enrichissement du contenu des produits sont des éléments essentiels pour stimuler les ventes en ligne, c’est pourquoi, Icecat fournira également aux marques partenaires BUT une liste d’informations produits essentiels pour un contenu ultra qualitative en même temps qu’un accès gratuit.
