Today we look at the category Lighting in the Icecat Brand Rank Monitor H2-21. Overall, the vertical Lighting has seen a growth of 45% year on year, leading to a total of 108 million datasheet downloads in H1-22. Overall, all brands in the top 10 experienced an increase in the number of downloaded datasheets. LEDS-C4 (+348%) is the rising star in this category. But, the absolute leader in this category is Philips by Signify, which is a dominant brand already for years in this category. The two “spikes” in the graph below showcase this. This year Signify records a 28% growth year-on-year and 51 million data-sheets downloads in H1-22.
Below is an overview of all top ten brands and their development from H1-21 (light blue) to H1-22 (dark blue).
While statistics per vertical are something we use only in overviews like this, brand analytics per country are visible in the front end. A brand rank per country is especially interesting for a brand’s local business representatives. Besides, as the internet implies globalization, Icecat can not resolve all views or downloads to an individual country. Some e-commerce users are international. And some individual data consumers browse anonymously.
Furthermore, Icecat also publishes a Brand Average Review Score. This includes the total number of reviews that contribute to the score calculation. Again, this is for transparency. This daily updated statistic is also default available for Testseek XML API users.
Finally, the data health score is visible. The brand data health completeness score is the average of the completeness scores of all product data sheets of a brand’s products, ranging from main products to supplies and spare parts. Again, brand editors can see the color changing of completeness.
