After the start of the co-operation with AliExpress (Alibaba) in the Spanish market last year, AliExpress has now decided to expand the co-operation with Icecat globally. In the current roll-out phase, 15 languages are included. Next to Spanish, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Italian, Russian, and smaller local languages. All AliExpress’s global websites will be populated with Icecat product content. The relations that Icecat has with strategic brand owners is seen as very important.
AliExpress informs its suppliers, manufacturers, that they can upload their product content into the free Icecat Vendor Central, to ensure that the buyer experience on AliExpress is as how brand owners like it.
The digital assets AliExpress is typically interested in are specs, marketing texts, product images, reasons to buy, product variants, and any rich media asset that brand owners can provide.
