First, around 70% of Indian online shoppers will keep an eye out for special offers when shopping. Therefore, lower prices are the most compelling reason for online shoppers to buy.

In addition, 53% of online shoppers will conduct online research before making significant purchases. Alongside clothing, shoes, bags & accessories, and food & drinks, electronics is the 5th  most exciting category for Indian online shoppers. Consequently, 63% of online shoppers plan to purchase a smartphone, and 45% of online shoppers plan to buy a pc or laptop in the next 12 months (Statista Search Department, 2022).

Finally, India’s internet penetration increased From approximately four percent in 2007 to roughly 47% in 2021. Even though these numbers appear modest, they indicate that nearly half of the world’s 1,37 billion inhabitants had an internet connection that year. Moreover, the number of people who regularly use the internet placed the nation second globally (Statista Search Department, 2022).
