Sprint 91 focused on strengthening the operational backbone of Icecat Studio by improving import reporting, platform responsiveness, and Sandbox workflows. In parallel, we continued architectural upgrades across the frontend framework, authentication, and delivery infrastructure, while also advancing Story Builder usability and partner-specific rollout work.
We have delivered a substantial update to the Icecat Studio Sandbox, significantly expanding its capabilities as a visual content creation and editing environment.
The most impactful addition is external file import for SVG, PNG, and JPG assets, including support for importing compatible SVG files exported from Figma with specific export settings as separate editable layers inside the Sandbox.
Sandbox now contains an “Import from file” button, which allows you to drag and drop or select a file, select the layers you want to import:
Once imported, all of the layers are available in the “Layers” sidebar and can be edited:
When SVGs are exported with the appropriate structure, Icecat Studio can retain editable elements during import. This enables a powerful new localization and edit workflow:
This is a major step toward making Icecat Studio a more centralized environment for multilingual content production, reducing dependency on external design tools for repetitive localization tasks.
In addition to file import, the Sandbox received a broad set of Figma-inspired usability and rendering improvements, including:
Together, these changes make the Sandbox significantly more capable of structured visual production and lay the foundation for future AI-assisted creative workflows within Icecat Studio.
Sprint 91 introduced progress on import reporting for the External Gateway, including backend implementation and a working UI prototype. This establishes a structure for transparent import monitoring by introducing:
This update provides brand users with visibility into content processing, enabling more efficient issue identification and management of external feed onboarding.
We replaced the static Progress component with an interactive 5-step submission stepper. This component visualizes the progress of story submissions and enables status transitions directly through the UI.
During the UI phase, we have introduced:
We replaced the custom authentication implementation with the authentication module to standardize session management and security.
We investigated the technical requirements for capturing interaction data from V1 (custom HTML) Product Stories, specifically for the LEGO custom module. The investigation confirmed the feasibility of reporting:
