In the scope of supporting Brand Partner Codes, we added a “Partner Code” field to the DELL custom registration page. DELL partners can enter their DELL partner code, which makes it easier to link them to internal DELL records. From then on, we can report on such DELL partner codes from DELL’s own registration form, and avoid providing GDPR-sensitive private data from Icecat’s backoffice to identify a DELL user. Therefore, Brand Partner Code is also included in the “registration” reports to DELL from its own DELL content registration page.

Editors can’t open the product import history in the PIM backoffice for TomTom products as the TomTom feed produces a too big list of data-sheet changes. We decided to implement a script that will clean all history except for the past three months. This script runs once per month and cleans the history data, so that the table becomes accessible again for editor analysis. Product import history is typically used by editors to analyze what goes wrong in the TomTom import feed, to learn how to improve the import logic.
