Icecat Release Notes 165: Export Data Possibility from Category Pages

Icecat Release Notes 165 will explain the open data export on category rank and category search pages. Additionally, we will explain the development of a tailored PIM (Product Information Manager) made for Marks Electrical. To conclude, we will showcase some other noteworthy enhancements and resolutions of issues. For more information, kindly refer to the previous Icecat Release Notes.

Export Data Possibility from Category Pages

We implemented an open data policy. From now on, our users will be able to export the statistics data from the following pages simply by clicking the export button on the top of the respective page:

• Category ranking page
• Category search page

The statistics will be in the .xlsx format and available for statistical processing.

Tailored PIM for Marks Electrical

We have developed a new tailored Product Information Manager for Marks Electrical. Moreover, a new external taxonomy has been created for Marks Electrical. Users will be able to log in using the following web address https://markselectrical.icecat.biz. After successful login BO users will land on the product search page. On the product pages, under the specs section external taxonomy checkbox “Marks Electrical” will be checked, and only this external taxonomy checkbox will be visible for the BO users.

Other improvements in Icecat Release Notes 165:

• SEO improvement. For this release, we made a significant improvement for 404 error pages. Proper 404 errors will be shown for nonexistent pages. Moreover, pages that should not be indexed have been hidden.
• Fixed issue regarding keyboard search to Add new Multimedia object dropdown menu on BO
• Fixed the issue where images were not showing for particular products
