Icecat PIM Release 3.17.2: Split Export and Bulk Actions

The team is not slowing down between big releases. Icecat PIM 3.17.2 lands with a tight set of fixes and two genuinely useful export upgrades, the kind of release that quietly makes your daily workflow smoother.

Product List

Connected MPN search to “Export Filtered” option

Multi-MPN search in the product list now feeds directly into the export option “Export Filtered” on your product overview page, so once you’ve narrowed products down by MPN, the exported file matches exactly what’s on screen. No extra re-filtering step, no guesswork on your side.

Export Management

Added a new CSV export option that splits long Short Descriptions into a character-limited field and a remainder field

Need a strict character cap on short description text? There’s now an export option for that. It trims the Short Description at a set limit, always breaking on a word boundary so nothing gets cut mid-word, and routes the overflow into a separate field. Your original Short Description in Icecat PIM and its functionalities stay exactly as it was; the split only happens at export.

General Improvements

Platform & UI

Fixed bulk action modals showing a hardcoded product count when using “Select All ➔ All Pages”

Bulk action dialogs like Move Products or Batch Lock now show the real number of selected products across all pages, instead of always claiming 10,000.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where enriching locked products with “Do not overwrite locked fields” could revert manually assigned categories back to uncategorized
Fixed the product edit page’s sticky bar staying white instead of matching Dark Mode

Why This Matters

This release makes the catalog more reliable across the board. Locked category assignments are no longer cut out during enrichment, so the choices you’ve deliberately made now stick. Alongside that, bulk actions report accurate counts, Dark Mode looks the way it should, and two export improvements make it easier to get exactly the data you need. A small release, but with real value.
