Icecat Jumps into Top 10 Fastest-growing Dutch Data Science Companies

Icecat is once again listed in the 2020 SME Data Science Top 50. This time as number seven among the fastest-growing Dutch Data Science companies. Last year Icecat was also listed in this ranking, based on the average growth in revenue, and employees between 2016-2019, and the total number of employees per December 2019. For details about the Icecat results in 2019, please see the annual report. Or check out Icecat on the Dutch digital stock exchange for SMEs, NPEX.

Recently, we won multiple other awards like the European Business Award, a 4th ranking in the Main Software 50 of 2019, and a nomination for the FD Gazellen Award of 2020. But maybe we are the happiest with being number one as content syndicator according to SimilarWeb. Because that says something about people actually using our platform, which is the competitive edge of Icecat in its core-industry.

SME Data Science ranking

Ranking in the 2020 SME Data Science works as follows. Firstly, companies must have their core business in data, data services, and data products and offer this in the business-to-business market. Secondly, they must have 5-250 employees. Furthermore, the company needs to be established before 2018. And finally, they must be Dutch. In 2020, the combined annual revenue growth of all listed companies is 35% and 34% in terms of employees. This shows that this sector is people-driven.
