Rue du Commerce is a High Tech specialist and the first French player to launch a marketplace in France back in 2007. It offers more than 6 million products, from over 1000 leading brands and retailers in the fields of high tech, smart home and home equipment. Now, Rue du Commerce would like its manufacturers to register for Icecat and start enriching their product content for free.
Icecat provides a free service that allows brands to manage their content and distribute it to any retailer or marketplace. After a brand registers, its editors may immediately begin entering and enriching product information in the Icecat Free Vendor Central. Brands may also subscribe to Open Icecat’s premium services for limitless or regulated content distribution to all of their channel partners. Why should brand owners devote time and resources to improving product content? Firstly, the online customers will be more engaged by rich product content. Furthermore, it facilitates and speeds up placing products online at channel partners’ platforms. This results in increased sales conversions.
