According to SimilarWeb: Icecat number One in Product Content Syndication

According to SimilarWeb, Icecat is the global number one in the product information management & syndication (PIMS) market. SimilarWeb provides web analytics services for businesses based on reading DNS traffic and other web data sources. In the comparison we look at the top 4 PIMSs: Icecat.biz, Etilize.com, Cnetcontent.com, Salsify.com on desktop, and mobile in the last six months. We left Flixmedia out as we couldn’t detect any noteworthy traffic volumes on SimilarWeb.

SimilarWeb: top 4 in syndication

According to SimilarWeb, the global traffic rank compared to all other sites in the world Icecat is ranked 42.761. But Salsify ranks 89,896, Etilize 189.148, and Cnet 121.684. Whereby a lower rank# is a better global ranking.

Icecat is number one because its portal and URLs at Icecat.biz have 1.17 million visitors over the past six months. This is 293% more compared to Etilize and 561% more than Cnet Content. On average Icecat visitors visit one page more, stay 30 seconds longer on the website, and their bounce rate is 10% lower. Although Icecat is also outperforming Salsify, Salsify’s visitor engagement is still higher. The development of Icecat’s Free Vendor Central, where brand owners can edit their own product content for their retail partners, is helping Icecat to close this engagement gap.

Increasing engagement

These statistics and the results from Q3 underpin that Icecat is by far the number one in the PIMS market in terms of visitors and use of live product pages. People use icecat.biz to search for product content and PIMS solutions to improve their online stores or channel approach. And, they use Icecat LIVE for real-time inserts in their own web pages. More importantly, the decreasing bounce rate confirms that visitors increasingly found what they were looking for.
