Toy Retailer ToyChamp Adopts Icecat Toy Data Model

ToyChamp, the Dutch/Belgium toy retailer with 32 physical stores in the Netherlands and Belgium, successfully uses Icecat toy content for its webshops. As a Full Icecat subscriber, ToyChamp has access to the Free Brand Cloud Program. Therefore ToyChamp can invite its vendors to register at Icecat for free. Or to join the Open Icecat services to syndicate content to all their channel partners.

In the Icecat PIM, a brand can improve its product content. The entered products are published on the ToyChamp webshop and elsewhere. Icecat helps to improve coverage and completeness of product content. But also reduce the time-to-market for new products.

ToyChamp Adopts Icecat Toy Data Model

ToyChamp adopts the Icecat Toy Data model, which is based on the input from leading retailers, brands, and the expertise of Icecat’s taxonomy team. The Icecat taxonomy is inspired by the NPD categories, specifications, and values. The Toy Data Model developed within more than five years into a worldwide standard. New toy retailers keep connecting, and more toy brands add their content to the Icecat catalog. Icecat monitors this in the Icecat Toy Brands Monitor. Moreover, the data model supports 60+ languages. Therefore, it is suitable for expansion to global markets.

How to access the Icecat content?

Please use your Icecat account to download the free product content if you are a channel partner. In case you don’t have an account yet, please register online, contact your local Account Manager, or contact us online.

In case you are an authorized reseller of a brand, we advise confirming brand authorization via the Icecat interface. Authorized resellers have, in some instances, access to more rich media assets.
