We take our users’ security seriously. We completed a periodical security update of the core, plugin, and integrated parts of our system.
The core activity in this Iceclog release notes 2.10.0 is the quarterly maintenance update. Firstly, we updated the core of our system with the latest stable version. Secondly, we updated all plugins and integrations with the latest secure versions.
With the latest maintenance updates and legacy cleanups, with the respective test server location and payload, our system is running under 1s.
As always, our update included the upgrade of our SEO platform, including the latest requirements from search engines such as Google. For example, our latest update removes XML sitemap image properties title and caption following deprecation by Google.
Details: Spring cleaning: some sitemap extension tags are going away
Recently we were measuring the usage of various features within iceclog. We discovered that social networks are no longer popular means of registration and login. On the other hand, having this mechanism adds more complexity than value.
Therefore, we decided to discontinue this feature. From this release, it is no longer possible to register or login using Social Networks Facebook and LinkedIn.
Our members who used social networks to open accounts are still having their accounts, but they have to login with username/password combination.
