Unbranded Video Preview

We improved Video previews on Icecat LIVE by showing a video thumbnail, typically about the respective product, instead of the Icecat logo.

Advanced Reporting

DELL Partner Code Support

In the scope of supporting Brand Partner Codes, we added a “Partner Code” field to the DELL custom registration page. Thus DELL partners can enter their DELL partner code, which makes it easier to link them to internal DELL records. From then on, we can report on such DELL partner codes from DELL’s own registration form, and avoid providing GDPR-sensitive private data from Icecat’s backoffice to identify a DELL user. Therefore, Brand Partner Code is also included in the “registration” reports to DELL from its own DELL content registration page.

HP CAP report

Created a custom monthly usage report for HP. In this report, we are aggregating user information and the quantity of downloads per product separated for download method: XML, JSON, LIVE, CSV, or www.

Daily report

The core team got a request from the business that from time to time they are getting an empty daily report. This is now fixed. In the near future, we will rewrite the report using the new tech stack to increase the speed of generating such data reports.

TomTom Import History Cleansed

Editors can’t open the product import history in the PIM backoffice for TomTom products. As the TomTom feed produces a too big list of data-sheet changes. Therefore, we decided to implement a script that will clean all history except for the past three months. This script runs once per month and cleans the history data. Therefore the table becomes accessible again for editor analysis. Product import history is typically used by editors to analyze what goes wrong in the TomTom import feed. And to learn how to improve the import logic.

Fixes Frontoffice

  • Security fixes (based on Detectify’s vulnerability scanner) for “medium” threats as Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF/XSRF), 1 External Links using target=’_blank’, and an Open Redirect.
  • Layout improvements in the user login area.
  • Fixed heavy logic in the Permissions/Restrictions components so that the users with lots of brands assigned to (100+) can be logging in with no problems.
