PIM UX 3.0 Announcement

We’re excited to introduce the second part of our new PIM UI design launch. Explore the latest enhancements and see how Icecat PIM 3.0 is evolving to deliver an even smoother, more intuitive experience. With the new UI release of Icecat PIM just around the corner, this post will outline the major changes as well as our approach to the new design.

Changes to the Import dashboard

A clean, consistent design was applied across the platform. Key actions, such as Run and Edit, remain easily accessible in-line for convenience. Additional functionality is organized under a three-dot menu to optimize space and keep the focus on essential data.

Changes to Product Overview

Product Overview now features a card layout, allowing you to view key product information at a glance without navigating to the product edit page. In addition to previously accessible data, you can now see the Category, Updated and Created dates, and a thumbnail of the main image directly on the card. Clicking the eye button reveals the available distributors for the product.

New feature! Global Search

Now, no matter where you are in Icecat PIM, you can search for products directly from the top bar. In addition to immediate search by Brands or Categories, the search functionality also covers any product content, including MPN, Brand, or any text from product descriptions.

Changes to the Menu structure

  • Naming Conversions is now Data Mapping.
  • Products have been moved to a separate menu, while all other product-related configurations, such as product relations, fields, statuses, etc., are now under the new Product Settings menu.
  • Product States has been renamed to Product Conditions (for example, Refurbished, New, Openbox, etc)
  • Task Manager has been renamed to Task Automation.
  • The menu is collapsible to provide more space and is collapsed by default in the Products Overview section.
