Icecat Now Supports EPREL IDs in XML and JSON Product Data Sheets

We are excited to introduce the latest enhancement to our energy-efficient data delivery services: the EPREL ID attribute is now added to all relevant products that fall under the EU’s energy labeling regulations.

Understanding the importance of accurate and comprehensive product information, we have developed a system that automatically extracts the EPREL ID from the QR code of rescaled energy labels. This process is fully automated, eliminating the human factor and the need for manual editing. As a Brand Cloud user, brands only need to upload the rescaled energy label, and all respective attributes will be added automatically.

The EPREL ID and the link can be found in the multimedia section under the type=<EU Energy Label> in the XML:

and in respective sections in the JSON:

Additionally, Icecat offers channel partners the ability to obtain EU energy labels in both JPEG and PDF formats, ensuring flexibility and ease of use across various platforms. As a Brand Cloud user, brands only need to upload either a JPEG or PDF of the rescaled energy label. The system will automatically convert the label into the other format and publish both. The converted EU label is tagged as „convertedURL“ in XML and JSON formats.

Thanks to this automation and continuous QA revisions for energy label completeness, Icecat ensures high coverage of energy-efficient data, empowering consumers to make eco-conscious choices.
