Icecat JSON and XML schema update: image size attributes deprecated June 1, 2021

As we update per June 1, 2021, the set of attributes in our Icecat product XML and JSON schemas, we would like to inform you of the following:

  • The set of attributes that describes the size of images will not be further maintained and will not be populated with data.
  • For XSD/DTD compatibility reasons these attributes will remain in the XML and JSON until further notice and will be populated with “0” values for new product images.
  • The set of affected attributes is:
    • OriginalSize;
    • Pic500x500Size;
    • Size;
    • LowSize;
    • ThumbSize;

What should you do? If your applications depends on the above-mentioned attributes:

  • Please, make sure you do the images file size calculation yourself in your application before June 1, 2021.

If your applications does NOT depends on these image size attributes:

  • There is nothing you have to do.
