Icecat Commerce Release Notes Icecat PIM 3.12.0

We are excited to introduce Icecat PIM 3.12.0, bringing major improvements to product information management with product data visibility, channel-specific content management, and import workflows.

This release focuses on giving users more control over their product information, clearer insight into changes, and smoother ways to onboard and manage product data across channels and integrations.

Core Features

Import Wizard

  • Guided, step-by-step import setup
  • File preview before import
  • Automatic column mapping (AI-supported)

The newly updated Import Wizard simplifies how users onboard product data. Instead of manually configuring every step, users can now preview the data, assign and let the system map fields automatically. As a result, setup time is significantly reduced, especially for larger datasets.

Export & Import Insights Dashboard

  • Central overview of import and export processes
  • Visibility into progress and errors
  • Faster troubleshooting

The new insights dashboard gives users a clear overview of their data flows. Teams can monitor imports and exports in real time and quickly identify where issues occur. Therefore, both users and support teams can resolve problems faster.

Content Versioning per Channel

  • Multiple content versions per product and channel
  • Support for campaign or seasonal data
  • Separate versions for text and images

Content versioning allows users to manage different versions of product data for the same channel. For example, teams can create a summer campaign version with different content and images while keeping the default version unchanged. This makes it easier to manage time-based or campaign-specific content.

Product History

  • Field-level change tracking
  • Visibility into who made changes and when
  • Source tracking (import, enrichment, manual, AI)
  • Ability to revert to previous versions

Product History gives full transparency into how product data evolves. Users can track every change and understand where it came from. In addition, they can revert to earlier versions when needed, which helps prevent data loss or incorrect updates.

Default Brand and Retailer Dashboards

  • Preconfigured dashboards for different user types
  • Quick overview of key product data
  • Role-based insights

Icecat PIM now includes default dashboards tailored for brand and retailer users. As a result, users immediately see the most relevant insights after login and can act faster on their data.

All Configurations Page

  • Centralized configuration management
  • Faster access to system settings

The new configurations page brings all system settings into one place. This reduces navigation effort and makes managing the PIM setup more efficient.

User Login Logs

  • Detailed tracking of user access
  • Improved auditing and security visibility

User login logs provide better insight into platform access. This helps administrators monitor activity and improves overall system transparency.

General Improvements

Import & Export

  • Imports continue after non-critical errors
  • Improved CSV handling (HTML entities fixed)
  • Detailed logging for file-based imports

These improvements make imports more reliable and reduce interruptions. In addition, enhanced logging helps users identify and resolve issues more quickly.

AI and Content Generation

  • More accurate AI-generated bullet points
  • Improved consistency in content output

AI improvements help users generate higher-quality product content with less manual effort.

Product and Order Management

  • Improved product history and expiry logic
  • Faster and more intuitive order details page
  • Extended logging for rules and manual edits

These updates improve both reliability and usability. As a result, users gain better control over product data and operational processes.
