2024.11 and 2024.12 Sprint Report

Exciting updates are on the horizon for Icecat Commerce! As we continually strive to enhance our Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, we’re thrilled to share some of the latest developments. Here’s a sneak peek into what’s coming and the innovations that will help you better manage your product data.

Icecat PIM Connectors:

  • New Lightspeed Connector

A new connector will soon be introduced by Icecat Commerce. This connector will integrate basic product information, prices, and stock levels, as well as Icecat data, including categories, brands, attributes, images, descriptions, and more. Stay tuned for more information and an upcoming announcement at the end of October!

  • Woocommerce | Default image problem was improved

When the user changes the default image in PIM and that image already exists in WooCommerce, there was an issue setting it as the default image. The WooCommerce Connector version 1.4.1 update fixed this issue.

  • Woocommerce | Added PDF URLs Export
  • Magento | Added Video URLs Export
  • Magento | Added deletion items threshold on export
  • Shopware | Added Export of Custom Fields as Tags

Icecat PIM New UX project:

  • Product overview: The product list page is being implemented and tested.
  • Furthermore, the new UI theme is expected to enter the final testing phase in the upcoming sprints.

Here is a sneak peek while you wait!

Icecat PIM development:

  • Added a trigger to send an email when import is stopped because of the threshold limit.

Now, when an import is stopped due to exceeding the set threshold limit for removed products from the import file—an automatic email notification will be sent. We promptly inform our users to prevent unintended deletions and protect the integrity of their product data. Additionally, with this improvement, you can manage your inventory with greater confidence and efficiency.

  • Dashboard | Added and saved historical information for new products, updated products, and removed products

As part of our Icecat PIM enhancement in the new UI release, we are significantly improving our dashboard by displaying historical information about new, updated, and removed products. This feature empowers you to track changes over time, offering valuable insights into your inventory management.

French language UI is in the process (expected to be completed in October 2024)

Italian language UI is in the process (expected to be completed in October 2024)

Important Notice: We have entered a ‘Development Freeze’ on Icecat PIM in preparation for the upcoming release of the new UX. During this period, we will only address paid projects and critical bug fixes. For the latest released updates, please check the 2.4.4 release notes or log into your Icecat PIM account and go to the Release Notes.
