Icecat continued to expand its platform activity during the first nine months of 2026, with strong year-on-year growth across several key non-financial indicators. Comparing January–September 2026 with the same period in 2025 shows substantial increases in content production, new user registrations, active users, data-sheet downloads, and product views.
September was particularly notable, with Icecat reaching new monthly records for both new user registrations and Icecat-quality product data sheet production.
New user registrations have trended upward in 2026, accelerating sharply during the summer months.
In September, 1,278 new users registered with Icecat, the highest monthly number recorded during the period. This compares with 545 registrations in January, meaning that the monthly registration rate more than doubled between the beginning of the year and September.
As illustrated in the first chart, registrations increased from 913 in June to 1,139 in July, 1,230 in August and 1,278 in September, indicating sustained momentum rather than a one-off monthly peak.
At the same time, Icecat has significantly increased how quickly it produces product information.
In September 2026 alone, 891,857 Icecat-quality product data sheets were created, setting another monthly record. As a result, the total number of Icecat-quality data sheets in the database surpassed 30 million.
A key contributor to this increased production capacity is the implementation of AI tools in Icecat’s content production processes, enabling the company to process and enrich product information at a substantially larger scale.
The year-on-year comparison makes the scale of this development particularly visible. During January–September 2026, the number of Icecat-quality product data sheets produced was 90.2% higher than during the corresponding period of 2025.
Importantly, the increase in content production is accompanied by substantial growth in Icecat’s user base.
Comparing January–September 2026 with January–September 2025, new user registrations increased by 128.6%, while Icecat-quality data-sheet production increased by 90.2%.
The two developments move in the same direction: while Icecat is substantially expanding the amount of structured product content available through its platform, the number of new users accessing the ecosystem is growing even faster.
This is an encouraging indicator of the increasing reach and use of Icecat’s product-content services.
Growth is not limited to registrations.
The total number of product data sheets downloaded increased by 36.7% during January–September 2026 compared with the same nine-month period in 2025.
This is particularly relevant as downloads represent actual consumption and distribution of Icecat’s product content. The increase therefore indicates that the expanding database is accompanied by higher usage of that content across Icecat’s user ecosystem.
Another positive development can be seen in the number of active Icecat users, which increased by 26.3% year on year.
A particularly strong contribution came from users consuming Icecat content through JSON feeds. The number of active JSON users increased by 58.9%, reaching 2,980 users in September 2026.
The second chart demonstrates how the gap between 2025 and 2026 widened throughout the year. While JSON usage in 2025 remained relatively stable, the number of active JSON users in 2026 accelerated, especially from June onward.
This development is noteworthy because JSON is an important format for automated integrations and exchanging structured product information. Its rapid adoption therefore points toward increasing automated consumption of Icecat content.
Product views show the strongest percentage increase among the indicators analyzed.
During January–September 2026, the number of products viewed on Icecat.biz increased by 150.9% compared with the same period in 2025.
This substantial increase in traffic complements the growth seen across the other indicators. Icecat is producing more content, attracting more registered users, serving more active users and downloads, and driving significantly more product information views through the platform.
Taken together, Icecat’s key non-financial indicators for the first nine months of 2026 show growth across virtually every major measure analyzed:
Rather than growth being concentrated in a single metric, the figures show expansion across the full product-content cycle: content creation, user acquisition, platform activity, automated data consumption, downloads and product discovery.
The combination of increased AI-supported production capacity and rising usage suggests Icecat is not only expanding its product-content database, but also increasing the reach and utilization of that content.
With more than 30 million Icecat-quality product data sheets now available and September setting new monthly records for both production and registrations, the first nine months of 2026 provide a strong foundation for further growth.
