Exertis Suggests its Vendors to Register for Icecat Free Vendor Central to Deliver their Master Data

Exertis is a global distributor of products and services from the world’s leading and emerging technology companies. Exertis uses Icecat product content successfully for its e-commerce environment. It represents more than 2,400 brands, selling to over 50,000 channel partners. Furthermore, it has a footprint in 15 European countries, such as France, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Exertis, as a Full Icecat subscriber, now joins the Free Vendor Central Program.

We hope that having all of our supplier master data available at Icecat saves Exertis, its suppliers, and its channel partners a lot of time, and helps us all to work more efficiently, and save cost.

Content to optimize visitor experience

Exertis asks its vendors to register and start entering and enriching their product content via the Vendor Central interface. Or to join the premium services of Open Icecat for unlimited or controlled content syndication to all their channel partners. They can then immediately start entering and enriching their product content, like product titles, descriptions, specs, images, 360 degrees demos, feature logos, sustainability data, or videos. As part of the solution, Exertis helps brands to promote and position their products in its shop and sales channels more effectively. It also improves the completeness of their product content, reduces the time-to-market for new products, and boosts sales.

Additional benefits for Exertis vendors

The main advantage for a vendor is that there is no need for big investments in its own product information manager (PIM) and syndication infrastructures. It only takes a free Vendor Central account to be in business.

Brand editors can enter data manually, using Icecat’s sophisticated PIM (the free Vendor Central) or by developing a connection to Icecat’s push-API. The latter will require separate authorization and security precautions. In both cases, the entered product information goes straight into the Icecat catalog. It is ready to go live for syndication in minutes, whereby Icecat takes care of the translation of structured data elements into local languages. But, marketing texts and other unstructured data is to be provided by the brand in the local language. Additionally, brand editors get real-time notifications of the publishing cycle.

Restricted syndication

Icecat can also support content syndication restrictions. For example, in case that only authorized resellers of a brand owner should receive its product content or only certain digital assets. Alternatively, there’s the option to use the premium syndication services of Open Icecat. This includes unlimited syndication to all channel partners of a brand. This covers also platforms like Amazon Vendor Central and Google Manufacturer Center.

Additionally, if you as a vendor need support, Icecat provides very efficient service levels that utilize the editorial team. A video tutorial is available on how to register for Free Vendor Central in three easy steps.

For more information, please register for Free Vendor Central, contact Icecat online or contact your local account manager directly.
