Bol.com, the € 2.8 billion e-commerce division of Ahold Delhaize in the Benelux, includes Icecat videos on its e-commerce platform. To optimize the online visitor experience. Bol.com uses Icecat product content already for many years and is also a member of the Free Vendor Central Program to allow brands to publish and improve their product content directly via this online Product Information Manager (PIM).
Bol.com asks all the sponsoring Open Icecat brands to make their videos available via the Icecat platform. Because of this, sponsoring Icecat brands do not have to manually upload their product videos to the bol.com platform anymore. At the same time, non-sponsoring brands can register for Icecat Free Vendor Central, and easily upload their video content for free via this portal themselves. The main advantage is that the videos are available for all other (authorized) resellers of the brand as well.
The Icecat Free Vendor Central is multilingual. Bol.com uses the product content in Dutch and French for the categories baby, computer, consumer electronics, toys, and personal healthcare. At the start, Bol.com will only use a maximum of one video in the Dutch language on each product page.
How to make your video content available to Bol.com? Strat by registering in three easy steps for an Icecat Free Vendor Central account. This free PIM is available for both Open Icecat sponsors and non-sponsoring brands.
In case you have any questions about how Bol.com integrates Icecat hosted videos, please contact your local Account Manager, or contact us directly online.
