ASUS Successful Content Syndication Explained

ASUS, founded in 1989, is a Taiwanese multinational computer, phone hardware, and consumer electronics manufacturer headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. ASUS is the world’s 5th-largest PC vendor by unit sales as of January 2023. Its range of products includes desktop computers, laptops, netbooks, mobile phones, networking equipment, monitors, wi-fi routers, projectors, motherboards, graphics cards, optical storage, multimedia products, peripherals, wearables, servers, workstations, and tablet PCs.

ASUS, ranked sixth in Icecat’s global brand ranking, is for several years an Open Icecat sponsor for the countries Spain, Netherlands, France, and Germany. ASUS distributes its product content to all local channel partners in those areas where the content is free to download.

Up-to-date ASUS content

Retailers and ecommerce channels can download ASUS’s digital assets. These digital assets are for example, product specifications, marketing texts, product images, brochures, feature logos, and rich media assets. To protect its channel partners, ASUS licenses Icecat to syndicate its copyrighted materials to any of its channel partners.

ASUS takes care of the completeness and accuracy of product datasheets in cooperation with Icecat’s editorial teams. Furthermore, ASUS product content is always timely available, ensuring resellers are up-to-date and won’t display obsolete content to their buyers.

Push Content to Amazon

ASUS Spain also uses Icecat’s Amazon Listing API to automate further content publishing directly from the Icecat database into Amazon Vendor Central. This connection supports real-time content publishing, ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) creation, taxonomy optimization, a publishing dashboard, and extensive reporting.

The Listing API connection allows the creation, update, and deletion of ASUS’s listings in near real-time publishing and is fully synced with Icecat’s vendor database. There is no need for vendors to upload their images separately via the manual Amazon Vendor Central interface. As a result, ASUS works more efficiently, as the time-to-market for adding products is shorter, and more importantly, there is less manual work.

Amazon A+ Content Syndication

Amazon A+ pages help to increase conversion on product pages. Publishing Amazon A+ content is easy with Icecat Studio. Amazon A+ content consists of enhanced listing product descriptions, high-quality images, and video content to help online shoppers tell a brand story more vividly.  Via Icecat Studio, brands can create and push engaging A+ Content for ASUS on Amazon product detail pages. And at the same time, push regular Product Stories for further distribution to the Icecat network.

Up to seven Amazon-compatible modules are combined in the A+ story and can be pushed to the A+ content tool.

From A+ to Enhanced Product Stories

Another advantage for ASUS’s channel partners is that when A+ content is available for Amazon, Icecat also converts these into Product Stories. Product Stories allow you to maximize page conversion according to your business insights and increase sales. Case studies show that improving product pages, especially with this type of enriched content, can increase conversion and visitor engagement from 5% to 25%.

Product Stories of ASUS are automatically added to the ASUS product datasheets in the Icecat database. This way, all channels have access to the updated and enriched content. This solution saves time and resources by managing all below-the-fold content in one place.
