SpareIT Uses Icecat PIM’s Realtime Push API for Timely Information about Refurbished Equipment

Given the current lockdowns, there is a big need for refurbished IT equipment for home education and the home office. SpareIT benefits from that surge and invests in its e-commerce environment to better serve its many clients. The Icecat PIM solution of Icecat Commerce, the e-commerce services daughter of Icecat, ensures that SpareIT – a supplier of refurbished IT equipment – always has up-to-date product information on its live website, without delays. Moreover, Icecat PIM sets up a realtime connection that automatically synchronizes all product data in the SpareIT’s webshop. In addition, after every import from Icecat or other data sources, an automated real-time push takes care of all product data updates to its web environment.

As the Icecat PIM code stack is updated constantly by adding new features, the SpareIT frontend will benefit from this automatically. For example, the Icecat PIM 2.3.2. release and upcoming releases offer direct performance improvements for any Icecat PIM user.
