Scaling Up Amazon Vendor Central (AFS) Connection

Icecat finalizes the last phase of its Amazon Vendor Central (AFS) connection to further automate content publishing directly from the Icecat database into Amazon Vendor Central. With the addition of product images, the new process fully replaces the manual submission of NIS (New Item Setup) templates.

New capabilities of the AFS connector

The new version of the AFS connector allows faster vendor on-boarding. This enables Icecat to publish a high volume of products in single instances.

As the image publication is included, vendors are no longer required to upload their images separately via the Vendor Central user interface.

Another important new feature is the ability to publish content without cost (advise price) information. If you want to publish the price information, that can be done by Icecat via a separate feed or list. Vendors can also publish price information directly in Amazon Vendor Central, and this will then be merged automatically with the content fed through Icecat.

How can Vendors start publishing their content directly in Amazon via Icecat?

Vendors like HP and LG have already been publishing their content successfully in Amazon via Icecat. The AFS Connector supports data push of many verticals in the UK, US, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Singapore, UAE, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan and India. Who can participate in the program? Basically all vendors holding a Vendor Central account.

Despite the automation of interfaces, still, the minimum AFS requirements for data completeness should be met. Icecat supports gathering missing information via its own back-end or via Syndy.

See for more details the Manual for the Icecat Amazon Upload through AFS.
