New GS1-based attribute in Icecat Open Catalog Interface XML and JSON: OriginalFileName

From the 25th of June 2019, Icecat will apply a minor change in the structure of its Open Catalog Interface: JSON, XML, and related XSD and DTD. The new attribute OriginalFileName will be added.

Icecat has now adopted the GS1 Intelligent Naming Convention for product image files.

As a continuation of a successful collaboration between Icecat and GS1 Netherlands, Icecat has now adopted GS1’s best practices for product image exchange for GS1 Fashion Base items. This includes support of optimal image resolution, square aspect ratios, 8-bit SRGB mode, facing a vendor defined intelligent naming convention (GDTI based).

GS1 standardised intelligent product image naming includes data on a specific vendor (the GS1 company prefix), document type, GS1 image naming indicator, angle identifier and an optional serialised component.

In order to support the GS1 intelligent product images naming, Icecat has updated export formats accordingly.
