Managing a Multilingual Video Games Products Catalog in a Constantly Moving Environment

The video games industry has always been an important player in the global e-commerce ecosystem. With global revenue of $120.1B* in 2019 and an increase estimated to $196.1B* by 2022. Large retail stores include them as they are appealing products and that trend. Now fully integrated into the global online sales strategy of both general and specialist retailers.

In a turbulent industry, characterized by evolutive product marketing and life cycles, Cedemo’s video game department has played, for more than ten years now, a key role in sourcing, aggregating and supplying comprehensive gaming data sets to a large number of French-based and international retailers through its retail content platform. Cedemo is the link between publishers and retailers. Understanding and responding to their needs and their requirements in terms of data circulation swiftness and product management system for ERP and PIM specifications.

Meeting the client needs

Cedemo’s team is constantly dealing and developing its publishers and retailers network. Maintaining and updating on a daily basis a multilingual product catalog. As well as assisting retailers with every ongoing task linked to product updates across its life cycle. To cope with the new trend of the industry and address the new needs of our network, we are developing brand new product categories, with licensed products, gaming accessories and digital games.

Closing the deal, in 2015, with GameStop International has positioned Cedemo’s video games catalog as the exclusive source of product information. For all its video games products, merchandised across GameStop’s 13 European plus its Canadian websites. A major achievement for the video games team and a validation of our service and product information managing processes.

Personally, I am very enthusiastic about the new perspectives on development and growth. Generated by the Icecat acquisition of the overall Cedemo’s product information platform and business. There are obvious mutual benefits. They are already identified and I am sure we’ll quickly find new ones, along with other business opportunities. Also, the interest shown by Icecat for video games activities is a rewarding testimonial of my personal and professional commitment to making our activities successful. Working every day to provide the most comprehensive and relevant data management service in order to meet everybody’s expectations.

I am looking forward to meeting and continue working with the Icecat team. Confident that we’ll achieve great results together.
