The Chinese multinational Lenovo Group Limited, headquartered in Beijing, China, provides its channel partners in the Benelux with cross-sell information as part of its international free product content via the Icecat platform. Lenovo uses Icecat as its content distribution platform for multiple countries including Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Benelux. Starting today, Dutch and Belgian channel partners of Lenovo can download the cross-sell data from Icecat. In short, this service allows Lenovo to increase its online visibility and sales by cross-selling relevant products alongside their other products. For example, showcasing notebooks with compatible notebook bags, cables, data storage, notebook standards, etc.
Recently, Lenovo re-invited its e-commerce and retail partners to collect the standardized content from Icecat. Via Icecat’s catalog, Lenovo channel partners can easily download all specifications, marketing texts, product images, brochures, and manuals. Furthermore, also rich media assets such as videos and Reasons-to-Buy are downloadable. Additionally, cross-sell services are obtainable, i.e. lists of (compatible) accessories, alternatives, supplies, and components.
To help channel partners integrate cross-sell opportunities there is a manual available for XML and JSON integrations.
It will cost a channel partner a lot of time, budget, and knowledge to create all cross-sell opportunities themselves. Now it is easy to integrate Lenovo’s cross-selling suggestions via the standard feed. For each relevant product, all the Lenovo product relations are available in an Icecat product datasheet. It is free and downloadable in XML, JSON, and all other standard exchange formats.
If you are a Lenovo channel partner, then use your Icecat account to download the additional free product content as well. In case you don’t have an account, please register online, contact your local Account Manager, or contact us online.
