Icecat Commerce Izmir Sprint Review

In this sprint, we have been working on releasing a new version of Icecat PIM, 2.4.3. The Release log for this version can be found – on our blog. Apart from that, let’s review the developments we have been working on.

Newest Updates:

  • Analyzed and fixed duplicated attributes in Pim
  • Improved new filters: 0 stock, shops filter for the product overview page
  • Implemented bulk lock feature
  • Ensured that Icecat import saves image sort order
  • Resolved the issue where +new product from the interface does not save stock
  • Applied rules and jobs for the warehouse selector
  • Modified the error message for not matching with Icecat
  • Enhanced user experience by updating the error message when trying to save a product without active warehouses
  • Removed product status code/per lang, furthermore, added visual changes in the product submenus
  • Added a hardcoded setting “do not run import if import file has 0 products”
  • Conducted an investigation on the presented quantity field

Improved User Experience

  • Implemented a feature to not update UPC/EANs from Icecat Connect with Icecat data
  • Fixed category sorting
  • Added pagination with First/Last page options
  • Introduced a feature to add a category to a new product on the interface
  • Made label changes in Icecat PIM
  • Added Enrich the product types with Icecat’s Attributes
  • Included a warning for changing the Icecat login and password
  • Changed the Icecat browser alert for better user understanding
  • Implemented a safety feature to hide the password for connecting to Icecat
  • Created JSON Export format
  • Added options for Long description format
  • Implemented product status selection on the export

Added Features

  • Added additional access options for Administrators
  • Improved text for English and Dutch translations
  • Added VAT and Distributor based EAN option in Standard XML
  • Implemented changes in the product overview menu (Headers page and edit page)
  • Added a Warehouse Delivery ETA field for XML Standard Export

For integrating assortment and Icecat product data in your -e-commerce platforms, we have been working on the following connectors:

  • In the Amazon connector, we’ve added export functionalities to provide mapping status information to internal and external users.
  • In the Odoo connector, we’ve improved the performance of category and product exports significantly.

While certain features are accomplished within a single sprint, the development of some functionalities may extend beyond one sprint duration. To ensure quality, all our functionalities undergo comprehensive testing. Consequently, completing a feature or development in the sprint does not automatically make it immediately available for our users. However, we assure you that we will keep all our customers informed about the new release dates, share release logs, and provide explanations about the features included and how they work through our blog. Moreover, if you need more detailed information on the new release features, please refer to the newest version of the Manual (in the Help section) or contact us.
