Ingram Micro goes global with Icecat — what this means for vendors

Ingram Micro has officially extended its partnership with Icecat to the global level – a major step forward in scaling high-quality product content across the worldwide IT channel. Icecat will serve as a global product content solution provider within the Xvantage Platform, supporting product data integration and enhancing the digital experience across its entire ecosystem.

From regional to truly global

The extended agreement now spans dozens of countries and languages across all major regions, including North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. This means that product content delivered via Icecat will power Ingram Micro’s operations globally – from the United States to Germany, from Singapore to Brazil.

For vendors, this is not just expansion—it’s acceleration.

Why this matters for brand owners

If your brand is working with Ingram Micro, or planning to, this development has clear implications. Your content becomes globally scalable once integrated with Icecat, allowing product data to flow seamlessly into Ingram Micro’s global systems. At the same time, standardized content reduces friction in listing, localization, and updates, which leads to faster onboarding and fewer manual processes.

High-quality, consistent, and localized content also improves conversion across markets, strengthening reseller performance and the end-customer experience. With Icecat, vendors benefit from a single connection that enables global reach, eliminating the need to manage multiple regional feeds.

Not on Icecat yet? Now is the time

This global roll out makes one thing very clear. If your product content is not yet available in the Icecat catalog, you are missing out on immediate global distribution via Ingram Micro.

Without a structured, standardized content feed, product onboarding may be delayed, listings may remain incomplete or inconsistent, and visibility and sales opportunities can be negatively impacted.

What you should do next

Check your Icecat coverage and ensure that we included all your SKUs and kept them up to date. You can enter them via free Brand Cloud, manually, or provide structured feeds to our API (xml/json). It is also important to provide enriched assets such as images, marketing texts, sales arguments, reviews, videos and other multimedia.

A stronger ecosystem together

This expanded partnership reinforces a shared mission: to make high-quality, standardized product content available everywhere it matters. The message is simple: connect once, scale globally, and sell better. If you want help getting started or optimizing your Icecat integration, let’s talk. Via your account manager or directly.
