Ecom Pro: managing product data

Ecom Pro is helping retailers in The Netherlands to enrich their product data from several sources, including HP CAP, Sony, Samsung and Icecat.
“Retailers wanted us to push the product data and every change to their PIM environment, and next to all their physical stores and online shop.” explains  Toine Bax of Ecom Pro. “The challenge was to integrate all required product data in their POS (Point-Of-Sale) systems.”

Nearly finished is a flexible Product Exporter by Ecom Pro, “with which we can easily transform product data into retailer-specific formats”, according to CTO Haitse Wiersma. This tools addresses the need of – especially – bigger etailers to reduce their data integration costs, and brands that are required to transform their product data into retailer-specific (excel) formats.

Promising development for Ecom Pro are further the buying guide, to match the needs of a consumer with the right product, and the Ecom Pro PIM system as an add-on to webshops. This PIM includes a marketing text generator to create unique texts that are SEO-friendly. These auto-generated marketing texts may include the key features of the product that are relevant for prospective buyers.
