Icecat Commerce, the e-commerce daughter of Icecat, made a free Magento 2/Icecat Live connector available in addition to a host of other commercial Magento connectors for this most popular webshop environment. The Icecat Live integration is based on Icecat’s Java Script real-time inserts. Next to this free add-on, a number of enterprise Magento and PrestaShop add-ons are available, for example in combination with Icecat PIM.
If you are in need of having the Icecat product content inserted in your Magento 1 or Magento 2 environment, then Icecat Connect is a handy commercial upgrade for just €995 setup and €600/year for this plugin. Try to imagine the time you save by not having to enter product data manually!
More impressive, a hidden gem in the IT & Electronics vertical, is another Magento add-on, Icecat Connect. Icecat Connect helps your shop to connect to hundreds of your distributors/suppliers. Not only the big distributors like Ingram Micro and Tech Data, but also local and specialized ones provide standard connections via Icecat Connect.
The second most popular ecom platform after Magento is Prestashop. For the same cost as the Magento add-on, Icecat Commerce made a well-tested Prestashop add-on available. A Dutch demo with Icecat content is available.
Another gem is Icecat PIM, Icecat Commerce’s product information manager, that can combine the content of multiple sources into one single feed. Icecat PIM is a cloud-based product manager helping with the mapping of multiple taxonomies, and the combination of rich content and price feeds, into one database. In combination with Icecat Connect 100s of supplier feeds can be integrated. And in combination with Icecat or other rich content sources, a full coverage with product data-sheets can be realized. Connectors to mainstream ERPs, such as SAP and Exact are available. In addition to mainstream e-commerce platforms like Magento (Enterprise), Prestashop, Batavi and tailor-made ones.
