French Dyadem Invites Suppliers to add Logistical and Other Product Content

French-based Dyadem joins the Icecat Free Vendor Central Program. It is a value-added niche IT & Office reseller with EUR 50 million revenues. Only business members can order online. Being part of the program, Dyadem’s supplier’s brands can enter, edit, and enrich their product content for all their products, free of charge. Brands that work with Dyadem include Brother, Lexmark, Ricoh, Epson, Kyocera, Armor, Innotec, Fujifilm, Canon, Logitech, and Illyama. As a result, all brands and other suppliers can directly improve the buyer experience and conversion rate for their products on Dyadem’s online platform. Or, they can join Open Icecat as a sponsor to outsource editorial jobs and for unlimited syndication of their product content to all channel partners.

Content is King

Why does Dyadem join the Icecat Free Vendor Central Program? It stimulates non-sponsoring brands to enter, edit, and enrich their product content for all their products, reducing content management costs. Additionally, it is possible to add enhanced Product Stories and other rich media to optimize the online buying experience. Great product content is thus key to boost conversion rates and sales. Dyadem suggests focusing on the following product content:

  • Descriptions
  • Printer models (for cartridges and toners)
  • Capacity (for cartridges and toners)
  • Weight
  • Dimensions
  • Related items
  • Date of market launch

Further, Dyadem wants to be informed about sustainable certificates and other relevant certificates per product item. Therefore, Dyadem asks all its vendors to register, free-of-charge, for the Icecat PIM. There is a tutorial available on how to edit data via Vendor Central.

Benefits for Dyadem Vendors

After registering, a vendor does not need to invest in its own product information manager (PIM) and syndication infrastructures. It only takes a free Vendor Central account to be in business. Furthermore, brand editors can enter data manually, using Icecat Free Vendor Central, or by developing a connection to Icecat’s push-API. The latter will require separate authorization and security precautions. In both cases, the entered product information goes straight into the Icecat catalog. It is ready to go live for syndication in minutes, whereby Icecat takes care of the translation of structured data elements into local languages. But, marketing texts and other unstructured data are provided by the brand in the local language. Additionally, brand editors get real-time notifications of the publishing cycle.

How to register?

It is easy to register, in three steps, for Free Vendor Central. Firstly, go to icecat.biz/registration to sign up for a free Icecat account. Secondly, confirm your e-mail address. Thirdly, contact Icecat to assign your brand to your account. Icecat takes care that only authorized staff can manage a brand’s product content.
